Creamy shores, setting suns, long walks on smoky colorful trails, the fellowship of your neighbours and the love shared in a cohesive community. Take a walk in the golden meadows that dance with color and vibrancy, walk into a magical green, lush forest that has trails and hold secrets and adventures. Walk along the beach and feel the sand between your toes. Take a look at the colorful trees in fall and marvel at the leaves changing color according to the season; red, yellow and gold. They’re diverse, but hold something in common; they all dwell on the same tree. Just like our community in Pickering. We’re different, we look different, but we all live in the same community and work together to bring beauty to the same city. The maple leaf is the symbol of Canada which is a land of diversity and so is our city. Pickering is a city with many different and vibrant people making it wonderful and a joy to live in, just like the tree we’re all beautiful, red, yellow and gold; we’re all a part of a growing city. This is why I’m in love with Pickering.
