By the Bay

I live in on the eastern edge of the world known as Conception Bay where the whales breach and the eagles soar. The air is crisp and clear, and the water is sparkling. When we moved here 25 years ago there was only a few local people living in family homes. Now there are over 100 new homes and we are surrounded by construction and new friends! Our one acre of land is now one of the last stands with trees and foliage on the coast, so that makes us a great stopping point for the rare birds that get blown off their migratory course. The sunsets over the bay are breath taking and different every night. Our seasons change drastically from sunny weather to snow bound holidays. Our neighbors are friendly and we help each other with snow clearing, gardening and partying! An ancient walking trail travels right by our house and my imagination goes crazy when I look out over the sea and imagine the pirates ships sailing towards the two small isolated islands in the bay. I love this neighborhood!
