Beautiful sandy beaches, gorgeous evening sunsets, rolling hills and spectacular vistas are what make my neighbourhood great. My neighbourhood is South Georgian Bay, a true Shangri-la in Ontario. It is a place where you can experience the beauty of all four seasons. I only live minutes away from the world's longest freshwater beach where I can enjoy a swim anytime during the summer. My neighbourhood is a boater's paradise where you can sail, kayak or motorboat. In winter it is only minutes to the ski slopes of Blue Mountain. Where else in Ontario, or in the world, can you work and play in the same neighbourhood that you live in all year long. Wasaga Beach has an enviable Blue Flag status for its clean beach water. The Niagara Escarpment is an internationally recognized Unesco Biosphere. It is home to the Bruce Trail, Scenic Caves and the ski runs at Blue Mountain. My neighbourhood features the purity and freshness of a rural community with all of the amenities of a larger city. You can see cows grazing in meadows one moment and then encounter throngs of tourists the next. Country charm meets urban sophistication as you experience the country markets, fall fairs, theatres, boutique shops and restaurants that make up the pretty historic downtown of my community. The area features numerous golf courses for the avid and part-time golfer. Wherever you may be in South Georgian Bay you are only minutes away to the nearest tee. The Niagara Escarpment is the magnificent backdrop for my neighbourhood. It is a natural playground where you can not only ski in winter, but hike, mountain bike, explore caves, walk across a suspension bridge or take the ride of your life on a 1000 ft zip line if you dare. My neighbourhood offers something for young and old, singles and families. It is truly a great neighbourhood. Just ask someone who has lived here a day or a life-time.
