In 1997 I immigrated to Canada, with my two boys. Within two days, we moved into a townhouse in Burlington, moving into our own home 6 months later. A detached family bungalow with a large garden, in the New Street /Walkers Line/Spruce area of Burlington.
It is a great area in which to live, within easy walking to the lake, Eastway Plaza, the Hydro Trail, the Paletta Estate and Sioux Lookout.
My neighbours are wonderful, friendly and helpful.
A short cycle ride away is Spencer Smith, a beautiful lakeside park hosting many festivals throughout the summer, Sound of Music, Rib Fest, Concerts and many other events.
Close by is the Joseph Brant Museum, along with Joesph Brant Hospital, (just in case)
Contiue along the edge of the lake to the The Beach Strip. A wonderful place to cycle in the spring, summer and fall, about 12k.
Burlington is an amazing community, friendly, helpful with activities for every age group
